Traditional Painting
(Indirect Method) - Begin with Grisaille (monochromatic
underpainting ) creating the form
- Apply glazes of oil colors to create the color

(Direct Method) - With a clear pattern of light & dark in mind
- Begin with a simple draw in of the shapes,
noting shadows and reflected lights
This alla prima or (direct method) painting is completed. |
